Choosing a HILTI TE Series Rotary Hammer: TE 6-22 and TE 60-22

English | Choosing a HILTI TE Series Rotary Hammer

The right rotary hammer depends on the job: hole diameter, base material, working position and daily workload. Rather than choosing on headline power alone, compare the tasks you perform most often. Here are practical considerations for the HILTI TE 6-22 and TE 60-22.

Three considerations for your jobsite

1. Match the tool to the task

Repeated anchor drilling and demanding chiselling require different capabilities. Consider your usual hole sizes, access to the work area and compatible accessories. Bit condition and dust management also matter when planning efficient work.

2. Understand AVR

Active Vibration Reduction helps reduce vibration transmitted to the operator on equipped models. It does not eliminate vibration exposure. Follow the operating instructions, manage exposure time and use appropriate protective equipment.

3. Understand ATC

Active Torque Control helps limit uncontrolled tool rotation if the bit binds. It does not guarantee freedom from injury or replace proper handling and use of the side handle. Check these features on the specific model rather than assuming every TE tool has them.

TE 6-22 or TE 60-22?

TE 6-22: SDS Plus versatility

This Nuron cordless rotary hammer supports drilling in concrete and masonry and light-duty chiselling, with AVR and ATC. For installation tasks, check your typical hole sizes and handling with the intended battery fitted.

TE 60-22: SDS Max for demanding work

This Nuron SDS Max (TE-Y) rotary hammer is intended for demanding concrete and masonry drilling and chiselling, with AVR and ATC. Assess the complete tool weight, working position and accessory compatibility before selecting it.
